You can read RAR National’s submission to the Department of Home Affairs regarding Australia’s humanitarian program (2025-2026) below.

We argue that Australia’s humanitarian intake is grossly inadequate in light of the increase in conflict and persecution worldwide. This is evident in the numbers applying for protection and the very small percentage who are accepted.

We believe that the humanitarian intake should be increased to a minimum of 40,000 and should come directly from the Humanitarian Program in order to attempt to meet the great need to provide protection.
